Recovery score
A composite of HRV, sleep and overnight vitals, weighted toward HRV. Open the breakdown to see what each part contributed.
Emuqu turns a Polar heart rate monitor into an overnight recovery tracker. One purchase, no subscription, no account.

Wear a Polar H10 chest strap or Verity Sense armband to bed. In the morning Emuqu finds a clean recovery window in the night’s beat-to-beat data and builds a recovery score from HRV, sleep and overnight vitals.

Time domain (RMSSD, SDNN, pNN50, HRV triangular index), frequency domain (VLF, LF, HF, total power, LF/HF) and nonlinear measures (DFA α1 and α2, sample entropy, approximate entropy, Poincaré SD1/SD2), plus a stress index.
Emuqu doesn’t just take the highest RMSSD. It looks for a window of about 400 beats with DFA α1 between 0.75 and 1.0, steady heart rate and a low artifact rate. You can switch to another method (peak RMSSD, peak SDNN, peak total power) or place the window yourself.
A six-part sleep score: duration, efficiency, deep and REM sleep, continuity, sleep cycles and stage architecture. Add your birthday and stage targets are adjusted for your age. Stage timeline, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, wrist temperature and resting heart rate come from Apple Health when available; on nights with no Apple Health sleep, sleep is estimated from your heart rate.
Fitness, fatigue and form curves (CTL, ATL, TSB) and an acute-to-chronic load ratio, built from your workouts.
The Fitness tab records Run, Trail Run, Walk, Hike, Ride, Indoor Ride, Treadmill, Row, Air Bike and CrossFit with heart rate zones, a GPS route for outdoor sports, and spoken cues. Pair a Stryd foot pod, an FTMS bike trainer or a Concept2 PM5 rower, or broadcast your heart rate and power to indoor-trainer apps such as Zwift. Workouts save to Apple Health; GPX import and export are built in.
Drop a pin where you start, walk freely, and a compass arrow points back to it. Works offline.
Start a workout from your wrist, see it live, and use wrist heart rate as a fallback if the strap drops. Apple Watch is optional.
Ask Flo about your recovery, sleep and training, by text or voice. On iOS 26 devices with Apple Intelligence, Flo runs on your iPhone with no key. Optionally add your own API key for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok or DeepSeek; Emuqu shows exactly what will be shared and asks before the first send to each provider.
Recovery, RMSSD, SDNN, mean HR, LF/HF balance, HF power and stress over 7, 14, 30 or 90 days or all time, filtered by tag: Morning, Post-Exercise, Recovery, more built-in tags, or your own.
Overnight recordings can also be stored on the sensor’s own memory, so a Bluetooth dropout doesn’t lose the night. Woke up mid-night? Pause and resume later; the segments are linked into one night.
Every session is archived. Import RR data from CSV, JSON or plain text, Kubios exports and Elite HRV summaries. Export PDF reports, RR intervals and summaries as CSV, or all sessions as JSON. Delete everything anytime.
Your data is stored on your iPhone. There are no Emuqu servers, no accounts and no analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data leaves the device only through features you turn on or use: optional iCloud sync to your private iCloud database, encrypted by the app first; cloud AI providers you add a key for; and weather, trail, elevation and road-name lookups.
